What kind of Services are offered during Community Care Days?

At Community Care Days you may choose to participate in Community Acupuncture and/or our Community Bodywork Clinics.

What is Community Acupuncture?

While reclining in comfortable “zero gravity” chairs, patients can choose to have either the basic auricular (ear) treatment (particularly helpful for stress, anxiety and cravings), or to receive both ear and body points (better for more specific or internal medicine concerns).  Since the intake period is less, needles can be retained longer than with standard individual acupuncture sessions, staying in anywhere from 40-60 minutes.  This allows for a deeply relaxing therapeutic experience.

What is it good for?

Studies show auricular (ear) acupuncture is particularly helpful in treating symptoms of stress, PTSD, anxiety, addiction, as well as some inflammatory and pain conditions.

What is Community Bodywork?

At our Community Bodywork Clinic clients receive short, focused hands-on Bodywork treatments and self-massage instruction with therapeutic tools like foam rollers and acupressure balls.

During the clinic, there will be times when one of our skilled practitioners will be treating you directly, while at other times, you will be encouraged to relax and restore while another is being treated on massage tables or Thai massage mats.

What is it good for?

Our Group Bodywork Clinic is ideal for clients seeking short, focused, bodywork treatments for a general “tune-up” or for a particular pain complaint.

How much does it cost?

Services range from $25 – $45.
