In acupuncture, the practitioner inserts 5 or more hair-thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body that correspond to energy pathways, or meridians. This stimulation of the meridians relieves blockages that contribute to the symptoms of illness and chronic medical conditions. Acupuncture is a safe, pain-free way to treat a variety of physical ailments, from back pain to allergies, asthma, and weight gain.

CHINESE HERBAL CONSULTATION
It’s no secret that many of the most effective pharmaceuticals have been derived from chemical compounds originally found in plants. But isolating a single compound eliminates the rest of the plant’s many benefits, thus offering only partial relief from symptoms. We customize Chinese herbal formulas to address the underlying conditions that contribute to many ailments, including allergies, hormone imbalances, chronic inflammation, digestive disturbances, and skin problems.

This ancient Chinese practice, related to tai chi and other martial arts, integrates breathing techniques with physical postures and meditation or focused intention. It comes from the words qi, which means “energy” or “life force” and gong, or a “skill cultivated through practice.” Qigong is about cultivating or working with energy, along the same energy pathways as used in acupuncture. The result is a strengthened immune system, enhanced vitality, restored function in the joints, and improved sleep.
